Constance Reid (1918–2010), Julia Robinson's sister, in a portrait by the filmmaker George Csicsery. Reid was an important writer on the people and history of mathematics. Among her works are From Zero to Infinity: What Makes Numbers Interesting (Crowell, 1955); Hilbert (Springer, 1978); Courant (Copernicus, 1996); and Julia: A Life in Mathematics (MAA, 1997). Csicsery photographed Reid during an interview he filmed with her in 1999. His documentary biography of Robinson, entitled Julia Robinson and Hilbert's Tenth Problem, appeared in 2008.
