Dear Yves,

On this fate­ful day I’m writ­ing about something much more trivi­al than the war that’s threat­en­ing to break out: here are the agree­ments for the book on wave­lets.

How are you do­ing? Al­bert and I are both busy with writ­ing; he’s pre­par­ing a fi­nal draft of our res­ults in 2D, and I’m work­ing on the Low­ell notes (yeah, still!). We’ve also been dis­cuss­ing the ques­tion of wave­lets on the in­ter­val. — In oth­er news, I’m get­ting huger by the day. On the one hand I’m eager to see this baby ar­rive, but on the oth­er I have so much work that I hope she’ll stay put un­til the due date!

En ce jour fa­tidique j’écris pour une chose beau­c­oup plus triviale que la guerre qui men­ace d’éclater: voici les con­trats pour le livre sur les ondelettes.

Com­ment vas-tu? Al­bert et moi trav­ail­lons tous les 2 à nos rédac­tions; lui pour un derni­er draft sur nos résul­tats en 2D, moi sur les notes de Low­ell (eh oui, en­core!). Nous dis­cutons aus­si au sujet des ondelettes sur l’in­ter­valle. — Autre­ment, je devi­ens de plus en plus énorme. D’une part j’ai hâte de voir ce bébé, d’autre part j’ai tant de trav­ail que j’aim­erais bi­en qu’elle reste où elle est jusqu’à la date prévue!
